Revamp Retro Sites

... and Rack Up Revenue

Hey, AI fans,

Got some time and can vibe code?
(build tools with e.g. Bolt.new or Cursor AI)

In this episode, I’m dropping a simple, tested (not by me) idea to add value and earn cash on the site and beyond. (Find my number 1 tip for success at the bottom.)

Your job called—it wants better business news

Welcome to Morning Brew—the world’s most engaging business newsletter. Seriously, we mean it.

Morning Brew’s daily email keeps professionals informed on the business news that matters, but with a twist—think jokes, pop culture, quick writeups, and anything that makes traditionally dull news actually enjoyable.

It’s 100% free—so why not give it a shot? And if you decide you’d rather stick with dry, long-winded business news, you can always unsubscribe.

( If you don’t want ads like these, Premium is the solution. It is like you are buying me a Starbucks Iced Honey Apple Almondmilk Flat White a month.)

One Strategy to Monetize in the Vibe Code Era

The vibe code era is upon us, and it’s a cash cow for anyone who can wield AI tools like Bolt.new and Cursor AI. You don’t need to code like a pro—but hustle (smart).

Here’s how to turn these tools into your personal ATM.

  1. Hunt Down Digital Dinosaurs (webpages) and tease
Scour the web for businesses with websites from the MySpace era—think dusty retail shops. Slide into their inbox with, “Your site’s screaming 2005—want a glow-up?” Use Bolt.new to mock up a sleek redesign fast - the teaser. They’ll bite.

  2. Sell the Bare-Bones Win
Seal the deal with a deployed, functional site. Bolt.new spits out a live, basic version—think clean design, working links, mobile-ready—for $500 or so. No bells or whistles yet, just a solid foundation that beats their old clunker. Deploy it, get paid, done.

  3. Upsell Like a Boss
Offer all the features that you can imagine to improve the basic webpage. Offer the technically simple ones first. Ask ChatGPT/ Grok-3 to give you 20 ideas and more. Price it simple (clients love a bundle):

    • Redesign: $500

    • SEO boost: +$200

    • Hack-proofing: +$300
      Suddenly, you’re their go-to fixer.

  4. Tier Your Pricing
Think packages, not one-offs. Basic ($500) gets a fresh look. Standard ($1,500) adds forms or blogs. Premium ($3,000+) throws in e-commerce or bookings. Toss in maintenance for $100/month—recurring cash is the dream.

  5. Own a Niche
Pick a lane—e-commerce, local joints, whatever—and dominate it. Make your sites functional, secure, and custom-fit. In a world of AI cookie-cutters, quality’s your edge. Make one client super happy. Then rinse and repeat.

  6. Spread the Word
Show off on X or LinkedIn with before-and-after shots. Build a portfolio site that screams, “hire me.” Team up with marketing agencies for referrals, or pitch a subscription for ongoing tweaks. Distribution’s your moat—work it.

  7. Again: DISTRIBUTION IS YOUR MOAT.

I have around 70k subscribers across platforms. Which is nothing compared to others. And in fact, I have never reached out to get clients. 100% inbound.

Why This Matters: The vibe code era hands you the tools—Bolt.new, Cursor AI, Perplexity, you name it—but the money’s in the hustle. Nail a niche, solve real problems, and get your name out there. With grit and these AI sidekicks, you’ll bank serious cash while the tech wave’s hot.

Go get it!

I hope you enjoyed it.

Happy weekend!
Martin 🙇
