Read concisely (and watch) about the new AI-coding assistant Trae, how to use Bolt.new and Cursor to build fast (improved features), downlaod my carefully curated Cursor rules, and more tech news: ultra-fast coding PoC, Helix …

Trae the AI-coding assistant with the best UI - Great for beginners

There’s a new free tool quietly making waves among developers in 2025.

Trae AI is 100% free, includes Sonnet 3.7, and through its multimodality Trae understands the tasks well.

Like Cursor AI it has an agent mode - Builder!

Trae can analyzes your entire codebase, using insights from your editor and terminal both to understand your workflow

Trae extends your code in real-time, predicts your edits, and applies changes automatically using Autocomplete

But what strikes me as very interesting is their pace of improving the product. You’ll get an update practically daily 🤯

Simple product development with AI

I am astonished how simple it is nowadays to build complex software products. The tools are getting better and better almost daily.

In this video I have used Grok-3, Bolt.new and Cursor to quickly iterate.

In Bolt.new you will see now visual inspection → let the AI know what specifically you mean! You can now built mobile apps simply through talking to Bolt as well. Let me know via a reply if you would like to see an intro here.

In Cursor, you have now, besides Claude 3.7 Sonnet, sophisticated rules you can apply. I am sharing my rules that I have engineered over 300+ hours working with Cursor below! (Premium only)

Also, if you would like to connect anything to cursor via the MCP (like logs, browser console info, automatic browser screenshots), please let me know via an email reply.

Here you can download my global cursor rules (and further adjust to your needs):
