Talk to Your AI Colleague - My Demo

Another piece of how we will work with AI has been unlocked!

HeyGen just released today the ability to have an AI avatar join and interact in Zoom meetings.
I invited one of their AI avatars to a meeting, and recorded this clip.

It is still a bit clunky, and waiting times are north of a second (a moment too long for a normal flowing conversation).

Soon, conversations will become much more natural.
AIs will drop in a meeting, get relevant info/ feedback from you, and continue working on their project.

Time to build my own!

[Btw. the video is cut, but I can share the raw version if you'd like to see the full experience.]

Screenshot of a virtual video call, with the main speaker displayed prominently on screen. The man is seated in front of a bookshelf and framed pictures, with a smaller video feed of the other participant above. The image is branded with the 'HeyGen' logo in the bottom right corner, indicating the platform used for the video conversation.

Check out the demo video on how AI avatars interact in Zoom meetings.

NotebookLM updates have been rolled out

In an earlier episode, you heard about Google’s NotebookLM here first.

One month and 5 days later they have updated the product.

  1. You can pass a note to the hosts (custom prompt)

  2. Minimize the Notebook Guide; Audio Overviews will keep playing.

  3. NotebookLM Business: an upcoming version that will be offered via Google Workspace with enhanced features for businesses, universities and organizations.

I have turned the well-received, informative episode about how we will interact with AI in the future and its significant shift into an engaging podcast.

Screenshot of a 'Configure Audio Overview' window in NotebookLM, prompting the user to set focus areas for AI hosts. The text suggests starting with a brief overview before discussing potential developments, with an important goal of encouraging listener engagement through comments or social media reactions. The interface shows options for selecting sources, customizing audio overviews, and generating the content.

This is the generated podcast:

Pro tip: Turn an information-rich but dry document into an engaging podcast with NotebookLM, and listen to it while walking outside.

I didn’t think this experience would be so damn awesome.

But here we are.

Has Remastering Video Games Changed for Good?

(Source)

Traditional video game remasters update visuals and technical aspects for modern hardware, enhancing graphics, lighting, and resolution while keeping the core gameplay, story, and code unchanged, unlike remakes.

It is a lengthy process.

AI has remastered GTA IV into a photorealistic version, as you can see in the video attached. This has happened with Runway ML + sophisticated prompting.

As Runway ML, Kling AI, Sora, and several other tools get better and better at transforming videos/ video games, remastering games will never be the same again.
