Our New Section: JOBS!
Plus, my buggy creature + learning app, and the end of front-end?
Friends!
I hope you're having a fantastic week and that your code compiles on the first try.
I’ve got a mix of the practical, the playful, and the slightly terrifying for you today. Let's jump in.
The AI Agent Shopify Brands Trust for Q4
Generic chatbots don’t work in ecommerce. They frustrate shoppers, waste traffic, and fail to drive real revenue.
Zipchat.ai is the AI Sales Agent built for Shopify brands like Police, TropicFeel, and Jackery — designed to sell, Zipchat can also.
Answers product questions instantly and recommends upsells
Converts hesitant shoppers into buyers before they bounce
Recovers abandoned carts automatically across web and WhatsApp
Automates support 24/7 at scale, cutting tickets and saving money
From 10,000 visitors/month to millions, Zipchat scales with your store — boosting sales and margins while reducing costs. That’s why fast-growing DTC brands and established enterprises alike trust it to handle their busiest season and fully embrace Agentic Commerce.
Setup takes less than 20 minutes with our success manager. And you’re fully covered with 37 days risk-free (7-day free trial + 30-day money-back guarantee).

We have a new section: Jobs ⚡️
I'm kicking off a new section in the newsletter: Weekly Jobs. These are roles I've come across where I can offer a warm referral.
This week, to celebrate the launch, I’m sharing three openings with everyone.
This week’s jobs (all remote)
From now on, I’ll feature one hand-picked opportunity here in the free edition. If you'd like the full list of three, plus other exclusive roles I find, you can support the newsletter by becoming a premium subscriber.
(Also: Still working on the Jobboard.)
A Creature is Born (and it's a bit buggy)
You might remember me mentioning Replit’s Agent 3 last week. It’s an incredibly impressive tool, mostly because it relentlessly tests its own code in a live environment. You can literally watch it work, see it fail, analyze the logs, and try again. This also works fully on the phone.
Well, while waiting for my own Cursor agents to finish their tasks, I put Agent 3 to work on a little side project of mine called QuizGrow.
So, what is QuizGrow?
The idea is simple: it’s a fun way to learn anything. It asks you a few questions to gauge your knowledge level, then uses the Perplexity API to find articles, images, and graphs tailored to you. As you learn, your little digital creature companion grows visually.
The grand vision? A unique creature for every user with 1,000 stages of evolution, all generated and animated on the fly. A small, achievable goal, right? Also, you have to visit it regularly, so it doesn't feel neglected. No one wants a sad digital pet.
The honest part: It is nowhere near ready. It’s full of bugs. But the core is there! I’d be thrilled if you’d be willing to check it out (here), poke around, and let me know what features you think would make it truly special.
That is my pet, Ludwig. ❤️
What's Shaking in AI Development
A couple of things have happened recently that I think will have a big impact.
First, Cursor has a new model called GPT-5 Codex from OpenAI. Joining forces on top AI. From what I’ve seen, it’s performing on par with Claude 4.1 Opus, but it's significantly faster and cheaper.
Pro Tip: For most tasks, let GPT-5 Codex handle the planning and initial implementation. It's a productivity machine. If you run into a truly monstrous problem that just can't be cracked, then it might be time to call in the big (and more expensive) guns of Opus 4.1.
Second, and this is the big one: Cursor and Claude now both support MCP to Figma.
See Cursor and Figma:

Watch @leerob go from design to code with GPT-5-Codex and Agent.

And Clade Code:
oh frontend is just over

In plain English, this means a designer can hand you a pixel-perfect design, and you can connect it directly to the AI, which will then generate the front-end code almost perfectly in a single shot.
The gap between design and a functional front-end is evaporating. It’s an incredible leap for productivity, but it also raises a huge question: what does the future of front-end development look like when the first 90% of the job becomes automated?
Food for thought.
That's all for this week!
Keep building, keep learning, and don't forget to feed your digital pets.
All the best,
🙇Martin
I recommend:
Beehiiv if you write newsletters.
Superhuman if you write a lot of emails.
