Replit’s Agent 3 for building entire apps, autonomously

First, Replit launched Agent 3. This isn't just another code completion model; it's an AI-powered developer tasked with building, testing, and deploying entire full-stack applications from a single natural language prompt.

The key breakthrough is its endurance and self-reliance. Agent 3 can operate autonomously for more than 200 minutes, a tenfold increase over its predecessor. It decomposes a project into a task list, sets up the environment, writes the code, and—most impressively—acts as its own quality assurance engineer.

Using a real browser, it simulates user interactions, such as clicking buttons and filling out forms, to test the app it has just built.

When it finds a bug, it enters a reflection loop to diagnose the issue, implement a fix, and re-test, providing a video replay of the process. It can even be tasked with building and deploying other agents, like a Slack bot that integrates with Notion. This is the leap from suggesting code snippets to owning the entire development lifecycle.

HeyGen’s Agent

While Replit’s agent builds the digital infrastructure, HeyGen's new Video Agent—now in public beta—crafts the stories that run on it.

Billed as a "creative operating system," it transforms a single prompt into a complete, publishable video, handling the narrative, visuals, and editing. This mission is supercharged by the strategic acquisition of multimedia agent pioneer Alisa.
